The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of "God Bless America."Various songs and prayers were recited in memory of 9/11. Many members wore red, white and blue.Mary Ann Yusella was welcomed back after the loss of her husband Peter. A special get well card is to be sent to the Rev. James Burdess, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church and group spiritual adviser.The meeting ended with praying of the Our Father. Bingo was played. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall.Medicare seminarThe Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, and the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging will hold a "Welcome To Medicare Seminar" at 6 p.m. Sept. 28.The seminar will provide information on selecting a Medicare insurance plan, finding a drug plan and how you may qualify for extra help to pay for your prescription drugs.'Music Together' sessionPanther Valley Public Library will host a music together session with Rachel at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 22.Music Together is an early education music and movement program for children 0-5 and the adults who love them.Come join Rachel to wiggle, clap, laugh and sing.
