State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following arrests made by troopers at Schuylkill County locations.

On Sept. 25 at 2:54 a.m. troopers responded to Trumbo Road in Pine Grove Township, for a report of a disturbance. On scene officers met Brandon Mearian, 22, of Pine Grove, who became agitated and confrontational with the troopers. Mearian approached a trooper in an aggressive manor and attempted to grab the trooper by his jacket. Mearian continued to struggle with the trooper and during the struggle the trooper was injured.

Mearina was eventually taken into custody on charges of aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge David J. Rossi, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville, unable to post bail.
