September 24, 1966 - Ken Vermillion completes 9-of-12 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns to help Panther Valley outscore West Hazleton by a 52-31 score. Two of Vermillion’s TD tosses go to Bill Pilconis, who makes six catches for 127 yards. The duo hook up for scores of 10 and 36 yards, while Ron Zabroski hauls in the other TD pass - a 69-yarder. Zabroski adds a 68-yard scoring and finishes with 120 yards on the ground. Mike Winsko collects 135 yards rushing and two scores, while Bill Maynard also reaches the goal line twice for PV, coached by Frank DeFebo.
