A Carbon County man has been charged with dealing methamphetamine after state narcotics investigators found drugs, cash and an illegal weapon during a raid on his home in July.
Donald Charles Fritz Jr., was arrested Aug. 26. Police executed a search warrant at his home in July and allegedly found a kilogram of methamphetamine and nearly $30,000 in cash.Agents with the state's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control conducted an investigation into Fritz between June and July.The investigation culminated with a raid on Fritz's Laurel Lane home on July 16. During the raid, they discovered a kilogram of suspected methamphetamine, a sawed-off shotgun with the serial number removed, and $28,090 in cash.The methamphetamine has a street value of $200,000, according to police.Fritz was arrested Aug. 26.He faces one count each of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm with an altered manufacturer's number and possession of a controlled substance.Fritz is being held in the Carbon County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 21.
