Carbon County Commissioners wrapped up some minor end-of-year business during a brief meeting on Thursday.

The board approved a letter of understanding with Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC, for financial consulting services for 2017. The fee for the services is not to exceed $80,500 for 350 hours.Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC has been the financial consultant for the county for several years and handles items such as the county's annual budget.In October, the county amended its 2016 service agreement with the company from $78,750 to $90,000 after it needed additional services relating to various projects.In other matters, the commissioners approved service agreements for Children and Youth providers, including Children's Center for Treatment & Education, doing business as Beacon Light Behavioral Health System of Bradford; and Diakon Child, Family & Community Ministries of Topton.The board also approved the court appointment of Rebecca A. Cancelliere of Jim Thorpe as a part-time adult probation department clerk I in the adult probation office, effective Jan. 3.
