Carbon County Commissioners

Carbon County Commissioners met to take care of a few items Tuesday following the annual county salary board meeting.

Not much business was on the weekly agenda, which replaced the board's normal meeting on Thursday.The commissioners approved the reappointments of Alfred M. Feuerstein of Jim Thorpe, George Karas of Lehighton and Robert Miller of Nesquehoning to the Carbon County Planning Commission. Their terms run until Dec. 31, 2020.The board also approved the employment separation of Susan J. Williams of Lehighton, part-time administrative assistant in the controller's office, effective Dec. 31.In addition, Christine M. Yamrich of Lansford was moved from human resources generalist to human resources assistant in the human resources department; and Timothy L. Nothstein of Lehighton was moved from county detective to chief county detective in the district attorney's office, both effective Jan. 1; while Andrew J. Wenrich of Lehighton was moved from special deputy sheriff trainee to special deputy sheriff in the sheriff's office, retroactive to Dec. 16.The next meeting of the Carbon County Board of Commissioners will be at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 12.
