A driver was cited after a crash in Carbon County. State police at Lehighton said the accident occurred about 7:24 a.m. on Sept. 4 along SR903 at Hatchery Road, in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said Allen D. Starr Jr., 29, of Lehighton, operating a 1998 Freightliner dump truck, made a left turn onto 903 from Hachery Road and failed to yield to a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by Tanya L. Hoherchak, 22, of Jim Thorpe. The Liberty struck the dump truck.Hoherchak sustained a moderate injury and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Lehighton ambulance, troopers said. Starr was not injured.Troopers cited Starr for vehicle entering or crossing a roadway.
