A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, along State Road in Ryan Township.

Troopers said Lonnie E. Watford, 49, of Saint Clair, was operating a 2008 BMW bike westbound when he lost control while traveling over some loose gravel. The bike was laid down by Watford.Watford sustained a moderate injury, troopers said, and was taken by Ryan Township ambulance to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale. Troopers noted Watford was wearing a helmet.The bike had to be towed from the scene.
