As part of the inaugural Schuylkill County Beer Week featuring events throughout the county in the week leading up to the third annual Schuylkill County Brew Fest, Anthracite Girls Pint Out announces a Pallets and Pints Night painting event at 6 p.m. May 13 at the Tamaqua Community Art Center.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue, which recently had donation jars stolen."When I saw on the news recently that their donations were stolen, I thought this would be a great opportunity to help them recover some funds. The event is part of Schuylkill County Beer Week, so it's people who love beer helping animals who love people," said Vanessa Gerhard, Anthracite Girls Pint Out.Participants will be painting on wood pallets and can customize the colors of the Free Beer Tomorrow painting. No prior experience is required. This event is BYOB, and craft beer sampling is included in the admission courtesy of Shangy's Beer Distributor. Additional donations will also be accepted for the Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue at the time of the event. For more information, or to register online, go to
