Schuylkill County judges recently sentenced the following people charged by local police.

James M. Schafer, 29, Jim Thorpe: Charged by Rush Township police with two counts of driving under the influence, speeding, turning movements and reckless driving on Feb. 22, 2015.Baldwin sentenced him serve five days to six months in jail on the DUI charge, with immediate parole upon completion of the five days.Judge James P. Goodman also suspended Schafer's license for 12 months, followed by 12 months on ignition interlock, and fined him $300, ordered him to complete Alcohol Highway Safety School and outpatient substance abuse treatment.Baldwin also ordered him to perform 20 hours of community service, and to pay court costs and fees.One of the DUI counts was dropped, as were the charges of speeding, turning movements and reckless driving.Placed on probation:Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin recently placed two people on probation. In addition to their sentences, all were ordered to pay court costs and fees.Justin L. Heiser, 29, Forksville, Sullivan County: Charged by McAdoo police with three counts forgery, possession of drug paraphernalia, 21 counts of conspiracy to commit access device fraud, and six counts of access device fraud on Feb. 3, 2015.Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin sentenced Heiser to pay $7,000 in restitution to Albert Mertz and to serve three years of probation.April L. McGeehan, 28, Lehighton: Charged by Rush Township police with retail theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 1.Dolbin sentenced her to 18 months probation.The possession and receiving charges were dropped.
