Tamaqua recently honored its senior football players and announced their award winners at a ceremony in the Tamaqua Elementary Gym.
The Blue Raiders, coached by Sam Bonner, posted a 6-4 regular-season record and also qualified for the district playoffs.
Tamaqua announced its varsity football award winners recently at a ceremony at the Tamaqua Elementary Gym. Receiving awards were, front row from left, Nick Breiner (Offensive Back of the Year), Nate Boyle (Keith Oliphant Memorial Linebacker of the Year), Brayden Knoblauch (Defensive Back of the Year); back row, Thad Zuber (Tom Butterworth Memorial Scholarship Award and Captain Jeff Bnosky “3 D” Memorial Award), Mitchell Kurek (Sportsmanship Award), Casey Rother (Receiver of the Year, Francis M.”Spirit” Inama Memorial Award), Bronson Strouse (Dan Miorelli Offensive Lineman of the Year), and Matt Amodea (Dan Miorelli Defensive Lineman of the Year).
