A Schuylkill County man has been jailed in a kidnapping incident that occurred late Monday evening.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident started about 11 p.m. in the area of 509 W. Savory St., in Palo Alto borough. Troopers said a 43-year-old woman was walking in that area and going to a residence when Michael Krause, 27, of Orwigsburg, pulled up to her in his pickup truck and began yelling at her.Krause then pushed the woman into his truck and fled the scene. An alert was sent out to area police agencies about the abduction. A short time later the victim, Krause and another man were located by Schuylkill Township police in Middleport borough.The victim told police she was being held against her will and was in fear of her life.Krause was taken into custody by troopers and charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
