A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

The Cover at Beaver Meadows Inc., 4 Broad St., Beaver Meadows, was cited for an incident on Sept. 7 when it is alleged alcohol was sold after the restaurant liquor license had expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
