Following reorganization Monday night, the East Penn Supervisors turned attention to the monthly agenda.

According to Carl Faust, township zoning officer and code enforcer, Claire Troxell was deemed in compliance with the board's order to clean up the trucking company property.Troxell's neighbor Harvey Kiefer spoke up, saying the property was not in compliance as there are currently unsanctioned vehicles in front of the fence. He told the board he had already left a message with Faust.Chairman William Schwab told the resident the matter will be looked into. The chairman then authorized township solicitor Jenny Cheng to investigate the matter of collecting payment on the fines Troxell has accumulated over the long-fought ordinance compliance battle on the property.East Penn will participate in a 17-municipality surplus auction Sept. 26 through Oct. 3. The event will be hosted in the township with members of the COG selling any old or unused equipment. East Penn will auction off police vehicles including a sedan and Explorer. The township's old generator will be up for grabs along with the used road paver.Schwab suggested the roadmaster take an inventory of township equipment to find other items for the auction.An $80,000 obligation note was approved by the board for the purchase of a new skid steer loader."We already purchased the loader. This money will be to reimburse the township's general fund," Schwab said.The board passed a motion to charge future food vendors a $100 fee plus $300 trash deposit to sell goods in the revamped Riverview Park."We have a problem right now with someone down there, but we can't give him a fine yet," Schwab said.Supervisors approved architectural firm W2A to conduct a feasibility study on the social hall not to exceed the cost of $5,000 for the review of the building and creating a renovation plan.Ending the meeting, the board held a special hearing on the transfer of a liquor license from Keystone Pizza Partners LLC of Blakeslee Boulevard in Lehighton to Marathon Bar Events II LLC. on West Lizard Creek Road, the future home of The Loft. The transfer was granted, leaving the license to be reviewed by the Liquor Control Board.
