Proclaim, a quartet from Allegheny Wesleyan College in Salem, Ohio, will perform at 7 p.m. todayat Overcomers Holiness Church in New Ringgold. And one of the members is a native son.

Luke Taylor, who sings bass but hits the tenor notes when the song calls for it, said he's looking forward to coming home. It won't be for long though. The quartet leaves the next morning for children's Christian summer camps in New York. They have traveled to Missouri, Tennessee and the northeast all summer long."Many hours in the van, over 10,000 miles," Taylor said.He's not complaining, just stating a fact."It's fun; I enjoy it," Taylor said. "It's a good ministry and a chance to go to the youth camps and see kids seeking God. That's what it's all about."The quartet consists of students from the college. Taylor is a senior majoring in pastoral ministries and intends to work as a minister. He completed his home-school studies in 2011.The other members of the quartet include: Rebekah Jones of West Virginia; Larissa Strawn of California; and Danielle Buzard of western Pennsylvania.The concert tonight will run about one hour and will include a variety of songs, such as "Lord Prepare Me to Be a Sanctuary" and "We Will Stand Our Ground." Any donations will help to pay for the quartet's travel expenses and to help fund the college.The church is located at 3270 Summer Valley Road.
