Carbon County commissioners on Thursday approved a number of personnel matters.

They accepted the resignations of Special Deputy Sheriff trainee Samantha C. Snyder of Tresckow, effective Nov. 10; part-time K-9 officer Richard A. Stobaugh of Albrightsville, effective Nov. 14; and part-time corrections officer Beau S. Wentz of Lehighton, effective Oct. 27.Commissioners also approved the employment separations of part-time corrections officers Jose L. Ortiz of Lehighton and Brian E. Newton of Summit Hill, both effective as of Nov. 16.Commissioners also hired Amanda Montz of Weatherly as a part-time dispatcher trainee in the communications center as of Nov. 21.
