Carbon County court — ARD

A Penn Forest man was placed in the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Monday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Terence Andrew Spiker,

58, of Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, was placed for a year on two counts of indecent exposure. He was arrested on Aug. 28, 2019, by state police at Lehighton who responded to a complaint of a neighbor of Spiker that he was standing in the doorway of his garage along Monroe Drive, and was naked and masturbating.

Matika ordered he pay an assessment of $450, get both drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations and follow any recommendations for treatment and render 50 hours of community service.

He must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program then their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete the program, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.
