Northern Lehigh School District has a new four-year agreement in place with its paraprofessionals.

That's after the school board on a 5-0 vote on Monday approved the memorandum of understanding agreement with the paraprofessionals, effective July 1, 2016.Directors Gary Fedorcha, Donna Kulp, Gale Husack and Debra Bower were absent.After the meeting, Sherri Molitoris, co-director of business affairs/human resources, said the contract calls for a 2.5 percent salary increase, as well as a step increase.Also, the paraprofessionals were given an additional personal day, along with two additional sick days, Molitoris said.
