SUMMER BASEBALL STANDOUTSStephen Hood (left), Hayden Goida (center) and Brad Hood (right) competed in the Baseball Youth All American Games in Myrtle Beach, SC from Aug. 8-11, winning a team championship and capturing numerous individual awards. The trio competed against players from different states in the graduating classes of 2023 and 2024. Their team went 4-1, winning the championship game 15-4. Brad Hood won the tournament MVP award, batting .286 with two doubles and seven RBIs. He went 2-0 on the mound and placed third in the HR derby for the class of 2023. Goida batted .500 with two doubles and seven runs scored. He also won the Golden Glove award for the best fielder on the team. Stephen Hood batted .667 with 11 RBIs, six runs scored and belted a home run in the title game. He was fifth in the HR derby for the class of 2024 and won the team MVP award. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
