The Effort Diner on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township was demolished this week years after the diner ceased operation.

The diner and property are the property of Steve Kresge.

Last week Kresge provided the necessary asbestos abatement proof to the township and obtained the permits to demolish the building.

According to township zoning director Matt Neeb, Kresge’s only plan at this time is to clean the site and backfill it.

No other plans are before the township at this time.
