Grand Knight Carl Burghardt and several fellow Knights from the Damien Council 598 distributed about 80 full meals, consisting of turkey, stuffing, yams, corn and dessert to needy families in Lehighton and Jim Thorpe.
The meals were obtained from the Schuylkill Technical School in Pottsville and packaged for distribution by Knights of Columbus Council 431 in Pottsville.Local distribution was from St. Peter and Paul parish hall in Lehighton.Members assisting included Mike Hartman and his son, Tyler; Steven Sofranko and his son, Matt; Kevin Cartier, Tom Brogan and Francis O'Donnell.
