Summit Hill resident charges borough workers with trespassing

Two maintenance employees of Summit Hill are being taken to court by a resident for posting "no parking" signs near his home.

Summary citations were issued to Ronnie Yuricheck and Billy Frantz as a result of a complaint filed by David Kasprzak, 53, of 10 W. White Bear Drive. Both are being charged with the summary offense of defiant trespass posted, defiant trespass actual communication, and defiant trespass fence.Hearings for the workers are tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. on Oct. 13 before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford. The charges were filed on Oct. 1.Several days before that, on Sept. 29, Kasprzak was charged by borough police with harassment for calling the borough secretary and speaking harshly to her. That case, also before Kosciolek, is pending.Summit Hill Chief of Police Joseph Fittos Jr. said the borough workers were installing the no parking signs at the intersection of Route 902 and West White Bear Drive at an intersection at the bottom of the White Bear hill.He said the no parking signs are being posted close to the intersection because school buses have been having trouble with visibility and making the curve, and it has become difficult to clear snow from the intersection with cars parked there. He said the borough council passed an ordinance authorizing the no parking signs.Kasprzak could not be reached this morning for comment.
