A Carbon County teen was cited following a two vehicle crash that occurred about 11 a.m. on Nov. 15 at the intersection of SR222 bypass and Kressler Road, in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Rebekah L. Fritz, 18, of Lehighton, was driving a 2001 Dodge Neon northbound on 222 while Jeffrey E. Brewer, 52, of Norwich, Conn., was westbound on Kressler Road driving a 1999 Chrysler 300.Brewer attempted a left turn onto 222 southbound when Fritz failed to stop for a steady red light, troopers said. She proceeded through the intersection where the front of the Neon hit the driver's side area of the Chrysler.Fritz sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Macungie ambulance. Brewer was not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.Troopers cited Fritz for traffic control signals.
