Two Schuylkill County men are facing multiple charges after they were caught on private property allegedly trying to steal steel piping.

State police at Frackville identified the two as Bobby Carnell, 31, and Jeffrey Reimard, 33, both of Mahanoy City.According to troopers on Thursday, Nov. 15, about 12:10 to 12:20 p.m. the two arrived at the property of Schuylkill Energy Resources-Yatesville co-generation plant, located along SR54, in Mahanoy Township, on a four wheel all terrain vehicle (ATV).The two drove over a three foot dirt embankment that the plant operators had put in place to block a little-used access road. The two then drove onto the access road and the plant grounds past a fence.They then attempted to steal two sections of steel pipe that was on the ground. Security personnel hired by the firm apprehended to two and held them until the arrival of troopers.Troopers said the two will be charged with multiple criminal counts related to the incident.
