Palmerton Police Department reported the following incidents:

Simple assault:

Kelly Heffelfinger, 42, Palmerton, was charged with simple assault and harassment for an incident Dec. 24 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

Bad checks:

Daniel Roland, 38, Stroudsburg, was charged with three counts from incidents Oct. 19 and Oct. 25 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

Unlawful possession of controlled substance:

A 14-year-old Effort boy was charged for an incident Nov. 1 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

Kenneth Shafer, 30, Palmerton, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, for an incident Jan. 7 in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue.

Maximum axle weight:

Thomas Butler, 56, of Andover, New Jersey, and Carlos Guerrero, 47, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, were for an incident Jan. 15 at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.

Bartholomew Madonna, 65, of Ridgewood, New Jersey, and Carlos Blancoborjas, 33, of Kenvil, New Jersey, were charged for an incident Jan. 16 at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.

Citations:

Police also issued several citations for vehicle violations: two for driving under suspension, two for speeding, and one for traffic violation.
