Ericka Shuman, daughter of Carl and Claire Shuman of Weatherly, has been named Senior of the Month for May at Weatherly Area High School.

Ericka is the secretary of the Weatherly Area High School chapter National Honor Society and the vice president of the High School Chorus.She is a member of Health Careers Club. She is also a member of the cross-country and track teams.In addition, Ericka is enrolled in Weatherly Area's dual enrollment program. She has also been taking piano lessons for six years.In the community, Ericka serves as an assistant children's church teacher, nursery supervisor and volunteer worker at Life in Christ Church in Bethlehem.Additionally, she volunteers her time with the Tweedle Park cleanup and at a women's homeless shelter.Ericka also works at various baby-sitting jobs.Sponsors for the month of May are Delrose Awards of Lansford, and David Feaster Excavating LLC of Weatherly.
