State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened at 8:45 a.m., Dec. 12 on Interstate 78 westbound in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said a tractor trailer traveling west on the interstate struck the rear of a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by Lauren N. Saenger, 24, of Alburtis, causing minor damages. Police said the rig failed to stop.Saenger was not injured.
