Cocaine seized in traffic stop

Two out-of-state residents were arrested following a traffic stop along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said a 2010 Infiniti G37 was stopped at 1:23 a.m. on May 28 westbound for motor vehicle violations. During the course of the stop numerous factors of criminal activity were detected. The driver, Rolando Horsford, 40, of Henrico, Virginia, denied the request of a consent search. A K-9 unit was brought to the scene and it detected the presence of controlled substances.

Police searched the vehicle and found 371 grams of cocaine in the trunk.

Horsford and his passenger, Alfred Singleton, 52, of Dover, New Jersey, were both placed under arrest on several drug-related charges. They were both taken to the county prison in Snydersville. Records indicate Horsford has since been bonded out but Singleton remains an inmate at the prison.
