State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating the theft of four lawn mowers from a field in Lower Macungie Township.

The victim is Dennis Heffelfinger of Wescosville.He told police someone removed the mowers from the area across from 1031 Village Round in the township.Police said a witness saw a Caucasian male, between 20-30 years of age and with a "scrufty" beard removing the lawn mowers and driving off in a late model gray-colored pickup truck.The incident happened between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Dec. 15.
