injuries were averted in a one- vehicle crash at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 18 on highridge Park Road in Cass Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Donald Corby, 74, of Saint Clair, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt east when he told police another vehicle "cut him off." Police said the vehicle exited the right side of the road and struck a cement curb and traffic sign.Police said the car was moderately damaged and was not driveable.In addition to the driver, passenger Mary Corby, 75, also of Saint Clair, was uninjured.
