A McAdoo man had a preliminary hearing before District Judge Stephen Bayer in Tamaqua on July 26, ending up with all of the charges being bound over for trial in the Schuylkill County Court.

Alexis Rafael Acosta,21, of McAdoo, was in court answering to charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and indecent exposure. The charges were filed by McAdoo Patrolman William Curilla following a June 11 incident.Bail was set at $10,000 percentage, which Acosta was able to post.John Smith II,27, who uses addresses in Tamaqua and Lansford, failed to appear for his hearing on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs after a June 14 incident.A warrant was issued for Smith's arrest.Defendants who elected to waive their preliminary hearings to the county court level were:Barry Eugene Markle,44, of Mountaintop, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving DUI while under suspension and failure to stop at a red light. The charges were filed by Rush Township Police Sgt. Duane Frederick after a Dec. 11, 2015 incident.Markle was released on his own recognizance;Bobbie Jo Hepler,30, of Freeland, charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit retail theft. The charges were filed by Rush Sgt. Frederick after a Feb. 18 theft.She was released on her own recognizance;William David Lee,41, of Tamaqua, charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Hobbs after a June 13 incident.He was released on his own recognizance;Samuel Smolar,26, of New Ringgold, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse. The charges were filed after a June 10 incident.He was released on his own recognizance;Ryan Peter Buchman,20, of Ringtown, charged with making terroristic threats, resisting arrest, simple assault, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and purchasing alcohol for minors. Charges were filed by McAdoo Patrolman Curilla after a March 28 incident.He was released on his own recognizance;Noah G. Marsters,28, of Easton, charged with reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Charges were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Matt Houser after a March 26 incident.He was released on his own recognizance;Crystal Koshmeider,31, of McAdoo, charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, defiant trespass by communication, criminal trespass, harassment and criminal mischief by McAdoo Police Chief Jeffrey Wainwright. The charges stem from a June 19 incident.Koshmeider was released on $10,000 unsecured bail;Samantha M. McGeehan,24, of Tamaqua, charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed by Rush Township Patrolman Bradley Hess after an April 29 incident.She was released on her own recognizance.
