Fourth- and fifth-grade students in the Tamaqua and West Penn Elementary schools have the opportunity to participate in the district's instrumental music program as part of the regular curriculum. For interested students, a parent meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesdayin the school district auditorium.

Information on how to start a student in the program, instructional time, lesson schedules and available instruments will be presented. Parents will also have the opportunity to make arrangements to rent a band instrument and purchase a lesson book, but always have the choice of obtaining an instrument elsewhere.
