Carbon Career & Technical Institute will be holding its third annual golf tournament, coinciding with the school's 50th anniversary celebration.

The tournament will take place on Saturdayat White Birch Golf Course in Barnesville. While normally held in May, the event was scheduled to line up with the school's landmark anniversary celebration, with the school's open house held on the following Monday.Tournament registration will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, with the even kicking off at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three groups, as well as for the longest drive. Breakfast and lunch will be included in the admission fee. Mini-games will be available, including Pot-of-Gold and a poker draw.The event is made possible by corporate sponsors and proceeds from the registration fees. Current students, alumni and faculty are sure to make an appearance on the greens for a display of school spirit.Proceeds from the event will go toward the school's student organizations.
