No injuries resulted after a truck caught fire Friday morning in Mahoning Township.

The Mahoning Township Fire Department responded to a report of a fully engulfed truck just after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Blakeslee Boulevard and Mill Road.Mahoning Township officer Corey Frey said the driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, was traveling along Route 443 and turned north onto Mill Road.Frey said the driver saw smoke, pulled over and got out of the vehicle.Outside, people stood by watching as the bright orangeflames engulfed the truck.Arley Kemmerer, an attorney with Kemmerer Law Office, said she saw white smoke surrounding all of the windows on the second floor of her law office. She hadn't heard anything that would cause so much smoke.The smoke turned black, and she ran outside to see what had happened, thinking maybe it was coming from the pallet company across the street. Once outside, she saw a woman standing near a red and white pickup engulfed in flames in the lot of a mechanic's garage just down the street from her office."Flames were dripping off the front of it," Kemmerer said about the truck.Cars drove past, and a man stood watching across the street. "No one was doing anything," she said.Kemmerer ran back into her office and called 911.Also assisting at the scene were the Mahoning Township Ambulance and Lehighton Fire Company.
