A man was saved from the wreckage of a burning vehicle in Cresco on Thursday night.

Police were dispatched to 562 Devils Hole Road at 8:33 p.m., where they found an overturned burning vehicle in the roadway.When the police approached the vehicle they heard cries for help coming from Andreas Kruizenga, 65, who was inside. Officers, with the help of a passerby, were able to open the rear door and pull Kruizenga to safety.Kruizenga suffered burns to his lower extremities, and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital at Cedar Crest by helicopter.The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
