Pocono Mountain Regional Police say a man is facing multiple charges after driving more than 100 mph past a school bus.

Marcus Anastaiaris, 20, of Pocono Summit, is facing charges following an incident at 4:25 p.m. Dec. 15 on Route 940 in Monroe County.Anastaiaris was observed traveling east on Route 940 at a high rate of speed.Police attempted to stop him as speeds reached in excess of 100 mph.Police stopped the pursuit but later located Anastaiaris at the intersection of Long Pond Road and Route 940.During the chase, he drove his Audi onto the shoulder of the road, passing a school bus on the door side as it was offloading children.He is charged with recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving, meeting or overtaking a school bus, careless driving and failure to drive a vehicle at a safe speed.
