It includes a noon healing service and a 7 p.m. outdoor animal blessing service at 7 p.m.Prayer partners will be available.Inaugural walk/runThe West End Park and Open Space Commission is announcing the inaugural 5K9 Trail Leisure Run/Walk at the West End Regional Park on 578 Evergreen Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township on Saturday, May 6. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The walk/run goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.The run/walk is open to all ages and abilities and the Dave Fleetwood Memorial Trail will be available for those wishing a leisurely walk on a firm and stable surface accessible to all wheeled devices. Dogs are welcome as long as they remain on a leash, with a 6-foot maximum.All proceeds will fund the West End Regional Leash-Free Dog Park to be located off Merwine-Hilltop Drive. The dog park will be completely fenced with areas for both large and small dogs. This project represents Phase II of the development of the 244-acre West End Regional Park.The 3.1-mile trail run winds through the open space property and includes a flat trail, an open field and woods trails.
