3 Marian football players face harrassment charges

Three Marian High School football players are facing assault-related charges stemming from alleged bullying incidents.

The victim is a 14-year-old Lehighton boy who was a member of the Marian High School football team in 2014.

Rush Township Police Sgt. Duane Frederick confirmed Friday that harassment charges were filed in the office of District Justice Stephen Bayer against two Marian High School students, both minors.

A third Marian student, also a minor, will face misdemeanor assault charges in Schuylkill County Juvenile Court.

The names have not been released because all involved are minors.
