A total of six defendants in pending driving under the influence cases entered guilty pleas in Carbon County Court onSept. 1.

Judge Steven R. Serfass accepted pleas from the following.Jay D. Dalrymple, 53, of Kunkletown, pleaded to two counts of DUI in two separate incidents.He was arrested on Sept. 7, 2015, along Trachsville Road in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton following a traffic stop. A test showed 0.19 BAC. The second arrest occurred on Jan. 13 at Beltzville State Park by park rangers who found Dalrymple intoxicated in his vehicle along the road with the engine running. A test revealed a 0.12 BAC.Sentencing was deferred.Edward Joseph Zink Jr.,47, of Lehighton pleaded to two counts of DUI in two separate incidents.He was arrested on July 2, 2015, along Forest Inn Road in Palmerton by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.10 BAC. The second arrest occurred on Sept. 6, 2015, along Route 895 at Bowmanstown, also by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.16 BAC.Sentencing was deferred because Zink needs a drug and alcohol evaluation.Daniel John Fisher,33, of Albrightsville, was arrested on Jan. 2 by state police at Fern Ridge along Old Stage Road in Penn Forest Township. A test revealed a 0.19 BAC.Serfass gave Fisher credit for 28 days spent in an inpatient rehabilitation program and placed him on probation for five months, pay a fine of $300, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation and render 25 hours of community service.David John Kiddish Jr.,23, of Weatherly, was arrested on May 14 along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.18 BAC.Sentencing was deferred because Kiddish needs a drug and alcohol evaluation and will apply for placement in the county's Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.Courtney Megan Konklin,38, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Jan. 13 along Route 903 in Jim Thorpe by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.17 BAC.Sentencing was deferred because Konklin needs a drug and alcohol evaluation and will apply for placement in the IPP.Austin M. Patton,24, of Milton, Northumberland County, was arrested on March 17, 2011, by state police at Fern Ridge following a crash along Route 534 in Kidder Township. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was previously placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked from it for violating the conditions.Sentencing was deferred because Patton needs a drug and alcohol evaluation.Patton is currently an inmate in the county prison of other criminal matters.
