Nineteen first-time offenders were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Tuesday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.Christopher Edward Aungst, 48, of Summit Hill, was placed on a driving under the influence charge. He was arrested on Oct. 9, 2016, by Summit Hill police along Ludlow Street. A test revealed a 0.30 BAC.He was assessed $550 for the cost of the program, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Samantha Lynn Ciccozzi, 23, of Kelayres, was placed for two years on charges of aggravated and simple assault. She was arrested on Aug. 5, 2016, at Broad and New streets in Beaver Meadows. She assaulted police chief Michael Morresi. Morresi agreed to the ARD placement, it was noted.She was assessed $650 and ordered to render 100 hours of community service and have no contact with Morresi unless in his official capacity.Mark M. Dematto, 48, of Summit Hill, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Sept. 5, 2016, along Route 903 by Summit Hill police. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.He was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and his license was suspended for 30 days.Brad D. Forrest, 42, of Newportville, Bucks County, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Aug. 13, 2016, along Route 903 by Kidder Township police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Sushil Saagar Jagmohan, of Amhurst, New York, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on July 3, 2016, along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.David Joseph Jamison, 29, of Bloomsburg, was placed on a DUI charge. He was also arrested along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $650, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Gregory William Kerstetter, 31, of East Stroudsburg, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on May 28, 2016, also along I-80 in Kidder. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Se Hee Park, 23, of Wayne, Montgomery County, was placed on a DUI charge. He was also arrested on I-80 in Kidder. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Ronaldo Rodriguez-Castillo, 34, of Hazleton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was also arrested on I-80 in Kidder Township. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Klyn Vallera Jones, 19, of Chicago, was placed for two years on a charge of possession of marijuana. She was arrested on Nov. 6, 2016, at the Split Rock Galleria in Lake Harmony by Kidder Township police.She was assessed $450 and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 100 hours of community service.Brandon Sultan Khan, 24 of Queens, New York, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Oct. 23, 2016, along Route 903 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 30 days.Nadine Renee Leibensperger, 29, of Lansford, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Aug. 27, 2016, along Market Street by Summit Hill police. A test revealed a 0.20 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Emma Zohra Najibi, 20, of Jim Thorpe, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was arrested on Nov. 26, 2016, at the boat launch B at Mauch Chunk Lake by Summit Hill police.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.Danielle Rose Spillman, 19, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested in the same incident with Najibi and placed for six months.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service and get a drug and alcohol evaluation.Tricia Marie Price, 27, of Lehighton, was placed for 18 months in two cases of retail theft, both occurring at the Walmart store in Mahoning Township on Nov. 4 and 5, 2016.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 75 hours of community service and make restitution of $136.35 in the first case and in an amount to be determined by the adult probation office in the second case.Matthew Ray, 28, of Nesquehoning, was placed on a charge of corruption of a minor. He was arrested on June 6, 2016, by Nesquehoning at a footbridge in the area of Willow and Musmano avenues.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Kimberly Ann Rivard, 49, of Terryville, Connecticut, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on June 10, 2016, along the turnpike in Kidder Township by state police at Pocono. A test revealed a 0.25 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Willy Salcedo Jr., 24, of Brooklyn, New York, was placed for two years on cases involving drug counts. He was arrested by Kidder Township police on Nov. 22, 2016, for possession of marijuana in one case and possession of oxycodone in the second.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 100 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and obtain his GED diploma during the two years.Christopher Albios Scanlon, 28, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on May 6, 2016, along Route 903 by Kidder Township police. A test revealed a 0.20 BAC.He was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program. Those charged with DUI must follow all recommendations of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
