Weatherly police bust heroin dealer

Weatherly police on Monday announced the arrest of a Hazleton man who was supplying heroin to numerous people in the borough and its surrounding communities.

Bryan Reimold, 27, was charged by Agent Aaron T. Laurito of the state Office of the Attorney General with two counts of manufacture, delivery, or intent to deliver a controlled substance, intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not registered, and criminal use of a communication facility.Reimold was arraigned before District Judge Joseph D. Homanko Sr. of Weatherly, and remains in Carbon County Correctional Facility under $100,000 straight cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Nov. 4.Weatherly police, along with the Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Narcotic Investigation Drug Task Force, conducted the buy/bust operation that nabbed Reimbold.He was arrested after he sold five bricks of heroin to a confidential source.Authorities seized 445 bags of heroin with an estimated street value of $2,000 along with a vehicle, $1,100 in cash and two cell phones.
