Or is juvenile probation more your thing?Panther Valley High School students had the opportunity to learn about various career opportunities on Friday during the school's annual Career Day.Jennifer Jones, a teacher at Panther Valley High School, explained that the event provides students with a glimpse into what careers are out there in the hopes of building interest early on."The goal of today is to expose the students to different career opportunities," she said.Staff from Lehigh Carbon Community College spoke with students about various programs available at the college to prepare students for the future.Members of the military branches, and representatives from Carbon County Juvenile Probation spoke to students about what their careers entail.Speakers for the event included Professor Stephen Roman, Carrie Fox and Liz Mason of LCCC; Staff Sgt. Jose Longoria of the U.S. Army; Suriel Aristono, U.S. Navy; Staff Sgt. Antoinette Dupree and Lisyeira Reyes, both of the U.S. Air Force; Joe Greco and Paul Zona of the Carbon County Juvenile Probation department; and Tim Sverduk of the Nesquehoning Ambulance Corp.
