Carbon County Democrats for Progress will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesdayat the Inn at Jim Thorpe, 24 Broadway, in the downstairs conference room.

The meeting will be devoted to the topic of opioid addiction, and will feature Todd Zimmerman, president of STEP-Up Carbon County, a grass roots organization devoted to this issue.Also speaking will be Carolee Boyer, outpatient supervisor for the Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission.Anyone with an interest in this topic is invited to the meeting.For more information, contact Linda Christman at 415-847-1607.
