The Tamaqua Area Middle School music department will present its annual Spring Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Tamaqua Area Auditorium.

The concert will feature performances by the Sixth Grade Chorus, Seventh Grade Chorus, Eighth Grade Chorus, and the Seventh and Eighth Grade Select Chorus.The Sixth Grade Chorus will open the concert with "Let Music Live" by Greg Gilpin. They will then sing "The River" made famous by country legend Garth Brooks. "Count on Me" by Bruno Mars closes the first set.The Seventh Grade Chorus will beginwith "Over the Rainbow" arranged by Andy Beck. The concert continues with the chorus singing "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts."Better Place" by Rachel Platten is the choir's last selection.The Eighth Grade Chorus openswith "Don't Stop Believin' " by Journey. Continuing in the pop music vein, they will perform two of the most popular songs of the past decade, "Hey Soul Sister" by Train and "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon.The Select Chorus will close the program with "The Water is Wide" arranged by Rollo Dillworth, Roger Emerson's arrangements of "True Colors" and "Cups" from the smash movie musical "Pitch Perfect."The concertcloses with the inspirational Lori McKenna song "Humble and Kind" made popular byTim McGraw.Accompanists for the middle school choirs are Antonetta Gerace, Faith Roberts and Maura Walker.The middle school choirs are under the direction of John Buglio.The concert is free and open to the public. Doors to the auditorium will open at 6:45 p.m.
