Pocono Mountain Regional police are warning area residents of an apparent phone scam going on in the area.

Police said several residents have reported receiving a phone call from a foreign exchange phone number claiming that they have won $2.5 million from the Winners International Sweepstakes.Police said this is a scam. Anyone receiving such a call should report it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) through the internet at
