The Lehighton Area Educational Support Personnel Association recently held a drive to collect supplies to be distributed to local nursing homes.
Tissues and other personal care items were donated by support staff in all of the district's buildings.The group has also made contributions to additional community organizations throughout the year, including the Carbon County Animal Shelter and Carbon County Friends of Animals, said Julie Willet, president of the association.The association members include building secretaries; nurses; paraprofessionals; behavior interventionists; networks analysts; and cafeteria, grounds and maintenance staff.All of the personnel strive to make a safe and better day for each child in the district that they encounter.
