A Bangor resident admitted to three retail theft counts in Carbon County court on Friday.

He was one of seven defendants in pending cases to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.Mahoning incidentsShawn D. Haynes, 43, formerly of Scranton, pleaded to the three retail theft counts, all occurring at the Walmart store in Mahoning Township. The three counts are all rated felony threes. The thefts occurred on Oct. 9, Nov. 2 and 5, of 2016.Matika deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.Other pleasSelena Maria Hersh, 21, of Allentown, pleaded to one count each of criminal trespass and receiving stolen property. She was arrested on April 11, 2016, by Lansford police for an incident at 332 E. Bertsch St. Various stereo equipment was taken from the unoccupied residence at the time. There are co-defendants.Matika placed her on probation for a year on each count, running concurrently, and ordered her to supply a DNA sample, render 50 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim.John William Welfel Jr., 25, of Coaldale, pleaded to one count of retail theft. He was arrested on Sept. 11, 2015, by Mahoning Township police for an incident at the Walmart store.He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, render 50 hours of community service and stay out of Walmart.Jesse Bryan Roth II, 25, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of persistent disorderly conduct. He was arrested on Oct. 6, 2016, by Lansford police for an incident in the area of 346 W. Abbott St., following a domestic dispute.He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a mental health evaluation, attend and complete an anger-management counseling course and render 50 hours of community service.Danielle A. Dolly, 20, of Tamaqua, formerly of Lansford, pleaded to one count of defiant trespass. She was charged for an incident on Sept. 14, 2015, by Lansford police. Charges of burglary and theft were dropped. There are co-defendants in the case.She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to make restitution of $1,107.50, her share, render 50 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim.John Joseph Marcikonis Jr., 41, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of attempting to submit a fraudulent urine sample. He was arrested on Oct. 7, 2016, by Jim Thorpe police for an incident at the courthouse where he reported to the adult probation office to submit to a scheduled urine screen.He was ordered to pay a fine of $200 and costs. He is currently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison on a probation violation charge.Todd Stephen Green, 42, of Harrisburg, formerly of Ashfield, pleaded to five game commission violations concerning the hunting of wildlife. The incident occurred on Dec. 13, 2014, in the area of 50 Briar St. in Palmerton.He was ordered to pay total fines of $1,050 and costs.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
