Lansford Alive is hosting several holiday events in preparation for the holiday season.
Christmas in the Park will be held at Kennedy Park at 5 p.m. on Nov. 26. The event is free for children and $1 for adults. Panther Valley Band, Panther Valley Children's Choir and Angela Nardini will provide musical entertainment. Panther Valley's 2016 Little Miss Snowflake will be in attendance with her court.Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be at the park along with Santa's elves. Horse and wagon rides will be provided. Donations are greatly appreciated as the money will go towards the "Kennedy Park Revitalization."Operation Santa Claus will start at 4 p.m. on Dec. 4. Operation Santa Claus will give Lansford residents a visit from Santa Claus at your home on a firetruck. Pre-registration is required by Nov. 25.The fee is $10 per child with a limit of $20 per family. Parents or guardians must supply wrapped gifts to give to a child at the Lansford Fire House. The gifts can be brought from 6-8 p.m. between Nov. 28 and Dec. 1.Call 570-645-4045 for more information.The Lansford Alive Christmas Party will be held at the American Legion on Dec. 9 beginning at 5:30 p.m.On Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m., the 15th annual House Decorating Contest will be judged.
