The Coal Region Catholics for Change, who are fighting for the reopening of two Panther Valley-area parishes, have planned multiple events around the holiday season.

The group willsing Christmas carols on Wednesdayoutside the former St. Francis of Assisi Church in Nesquehoning. The church is located at 140 W. Mill St.On Sunday, the group will hold a halupki and halushki sale at the Mahoning Valley Fire Company. The sale will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.On Dec. 17, they will hold a holiday cookie tray sale. The event runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Lansford Mini Mall, 28 W.
