The Schuylkill-Carbon Marine Corps League will be taking registrations for the Toys for Tots program this weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the group will register Carbon County families at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Fredericks Grove Road, Lehighton. This is the last available weekend for registration, and no phone call registrations will be accepted.To be considered eligible for the program, participants are asked to bring a letter from their church, proof of public assistance, or proof of unemployment, along with some form of current identification that shows residency in Carbon County. Only parents and legal guardians are allowed to register their children for the program, and legal guardians must bring proof of guardianship as well.Children up to age 14 are permitted to participate, along with disabled children up to age 16. While registering a disabled child, be sure to denote their disability. Birth certificates must be presented for each child that is registered.
